The consolidation of two microcar manufacturers in France is in the works. The Bénéteau Group has entered into exclusive negotiations with Philippe Ligier, the majority share holder in Automobile Ligier, and its financial partner, 21 Centrale Partners, with a view to selling off Microcar, its company that produces and markets light quadricycles for the European market.
This project, which will shortly be submitted for approval, is in line with the Bénéteau Group’s strategy to invest in and develop its two core businesses: boats and leisure accommodation.
